How to tone your muscles without bulking up
Many women avoid lifting weights when they go to the gym in case they wake up the next day looking like a female body builder. Even if you've been told that you don't have enough testosterone to build a lot of muscle there is definitely a psychological issue with lifting heavy weights.
So how do you tone up?
The best way to tone your muscles is by lifting progressively heavier weights whilst keeping your reps fairly low. When you do those sets with the pink dumbbells till your muscles burn this is fatiguing your muscles and is actually sending them the message that they need to get bigger! Your body then stores more glycogen in those muscles to let you go longer next time. That glycogen gives you bigger, bulky muscles! You want to do the opposite of this - lift heavier weights less times without going till you can't get another rep done. Stay away from failing halfway through a rep. Always leave one or two reps "in the tank".
Heavy weights??
Yes I know this means that you might have to use the same weights as the guys at the gym use, but there's no reason why you shouldn't. In fact you could even be lifting heavier weights than them eventually, all without bulking up. Just keep your overall volume low by keeping the reps low, whilst adding progressively more weight.
If you want a complete workout system designed to target the exact areas on the body a women should concentrate on, whilst burning off any extra fat then please check out Venus Index. It is probably the best workout solution on the internet for women right now and has many success stories behind it.

Gym Workouts For Women
If you are looking for gym workouts for women then Venus Index is the answer you've been searching for!
Venus Index is a 12 week system which can be done at the gym, or even at home.
What makes Venus Index unique is that it sets targets to aim for. The program tells you what your waist should ideally be at, then tells you what your hips & shoulders should also be at for the perfect female body. Adding these targets means that you can focus on doing what your body needs rather than just some cookie-cutter approach.
Since it is also designed only for women it really focuses on the exercises you need rather than what a guy who is wanting bulky muscles should use.

Venus Index Workout
Venus Index Workout
Quick summary of the workout you get with Venus Index:- 12 week program which you can repeat as many times as you like.
- 3 workouts per week, working your whole body each time.
- Time effective workouts of 50 minutes.
- Conditioning and strength training both covered.
- Can be done at home or at the gym.
- No cardio needed, but can be included if you like it.
You can see from the list above that you will spend around 50 minutes in the gym three times a week. Those 50 minutes cover your full body and really is the best workout routine for women around today.
A lot of workouts focus on splitting the body up into parts - developing an almost Frankenstein-like body. It is much more effective and efficient to train the body as a whole unit. This is only one of the keys to creating a toned feminine body which Venus Index Workout uses. John Barban has used his many years of experience to create then tweak this system to make it the best gym workout plan for women.
Some women may think it strange that strength is one of the points which are developed with Venus Index, but it actually the best way to develop the body you crave. Getting strong is the best way for a woman to get a great body. But of course you have to use a well thought out system with a good selection of exercises - which is where Venus Index excels.

Venus Index
Venus Index Review
Normally girls are told to workout the same as guys, after all aren't we all built the same way? Yet Venus Index is unusual... It is a workout program designed for the female body - designed to enhance your assets, concentrating on parts which will help to create a sexy figure.Squats and deadlifts are great exercises, but they'll also build big thighs and butt. Is that what you want? Probably not! Where Venus Index differs is that it chooses exercises to really help create that toned look women seek.
Leave the big puffy muscle look to the meat head guys! Let John Barban teach you how to create a sexy womanly body, whilst the fat melts off your body.
What I also like about Venus Index is that it gives you a goal to aim for - it teaches you about what ratios your body you should - like hips to waist ratio. Progress is much more enjoyable when you can actually track it!
What's included:
- The Venus Index Main Manual
- 12 week Venus Index Workout System
- Guide To Body-Centric Eating
- Video Exercise Gallery
- Lifetime Access to the Venus Index Community Forums
- Unlimited updates for life
There really is no other fitness product out there which compares. If you are a woman who is looking to develop a sexy figure using a workout programme with a track record of success then Venus Index is the way to go.
